Air resistance

Tune drag with a model and ballistic coefficient.

Enable Affected By Air Resistance in the Bullet Properties Inspector. Drag Model and Ballistic Coefficient determine the drag contribution. For the same drag model and speed, a larger positive coefficient produces less retardation.

To compare the effect, place a target at range, disable air resistance before entering Play mode, fire, then repeat with it enabled. Slowing the bullet increases travel time and usually produces more vertical drop. Keep all other settings unchanged during the comparison.

The available models are G1, G2, G5, G6, G7 and G8. Use a coefficient appropriate to the chosen model. The current helper derives drag from velocity, model and coefficient; it does not take atmosphere parameters.

Re-enable air resistance before continuing. Re-enter Play mode after changing bullet or environment settings so your scene setup and activation run again. Cached zeroing data is not a live atmosphere solver.

Impacts compared with air resistance disabled and enabled.
